Ocean of Quebec Wins Major Maintenance Contract, Will Build New Hopper Dredge

Ocean is building an 1,180-cubic-meter (1,543.44 cy) split hull trailing suction hopper dredge. The Port of Quebec-based company will use the dredge to perform a seven-year maintenance contract on the St. Lawrence River, won through its subsidiary Ocean Dredging DSM Inc. The contract includes the North Traverse, and the Becancour and Cap-Sante Traverse. This contract, valued at almost $30 million, will begin during the summer of 2012.
