Thwaites move into bigger dump truck arena

Thwaites, the UK's oldest site dumper manufacturer, has signalled a move up market with the introduction of a 16t articulated dump truck (ADT), writes Dan Gilkes. The TD18, which was first shown in prototype form at last year's Bauma exhibition in Germany, is by far the largest truck the Warwickshire-based firm has ever built. Managing director David Whittaker says it is already attracting customers, both at home and overseas.
