New roads for a new town

Bitelli pavers have recently been used by a Hong Kong contractor for a $7.7mil. road construction project in Tung Chung new town. Pioneer Asphalt (Hong Kong) Ltd took delivery of a Bitelli BB660 paver for extensive trials in 1995, before placing an order for a further three Bitelli pavers. Ordered in 1996, the pavers featured sonic levelling devices and an additional extension set to allow any of the units to pave to 6.1m width. Two of the Bitelli BB660 paver finishers and a Bitelli DTV75 tandem roller are being used to prepare roads at the Tung Chung new town. Pioneer was awarded the contract for the North Lantau Expressway - Tung Chung Section and the Tung Chung Development Phase l.
