A town plan road and street location display system consists of a housing (1) fitted with at least one window (5) through which the data displayed can be read. Inside the housing is a first data band which is wound onto two spools, rotation of which moves the band across the window (5). There is also a second data band inside the housing which is also wound onto two spools, rotation of which moves the band across the window (5). The two pairs of spools for the first and second bands are operated independently by means of hand controls.
