City of cranes

摘要

Tower cranes seem to be everywhere in Berlin at the moment as the city continues on its course of re-building the areas neglected during the Cold War era. Some of the most important and prestigious on-going projects are employing the ubiquitious tower crane. These projects include the Friedrichstadt Passages, Hofgarten at the Gendarmenmarkt, Unter den Linden, the new Potsdamer Platz project, the rebuilding of the Reichstag building to house the German Parliament, the new Max Liebermann building at Brandenburg Gate and the extensions to the exhibition ground.
