Metso has started manufacturing mobile crushers at its industrial hub in Alwar, India. The first model to be produced is the Lokotrack C1000, a unit specially engineered and adapted for the needs of the Indian market, and manufactured using locally sourced components. Sudhir Srivastava, senior vice president in Asia-Pacific for Metso, Mining & Construction Technology said, "This is a marvellous example of knowledge sharing, continuous development and a true collaboration demonstrated by our teams in India and Finland respectively. We have set benchmarks by completing the first prototype so quickly. That has set the management's expectations from the teams fairly high."
