Collpase investigation

Liebherr has issued a statement saying poor ground conditions were the cause of a fatal crane collpase at a stadium construction site in Brazil in late 2013. On 27 November 2013 a 1,350 tonne capacity Liebherr LR 11350 lattice boom crawler crane collapsed in Sao Paulo at the Itaquerao Stadium, one of the venues for this year's FIFA World Cup, killing two workers. Liebherr said the crane had no technical defects and that the ground was not stable enough fot crane travel with a suspended load on the day of the accident.
