Getting a construction project off the ground often requires not only the falsework and formwork hardware, but also the expertise of the engineering team behind it, to offer contractors solutions to any ground-up problems. A case in point comes from UK-based RMD Kwikform, who were employed to help with a watery problem in Norway. With an increasing number of large cruise ships visiting the country, it was decided that an extension to the existing quay in the Andalsnes region was required. The main contractor on the project, Kristiseter AS, elected to connect the extension to the existing structure by means of a 60 m long, 4 m wide footbridge.
