My father was a cameraman, and he started Studio Video Art in 1992 with a focus on making documentary films, often in collaboration with foreign production companies. In 1994, the company moved into broadcast. The impetus for that shift in emphasis was the availability of the contract to record all the Romanian Football League matches that were not broadcast live on Romanian State Television. The following year, we bought a van which we transformed into the first private OB van in Romania. It was small, carrying only four Sony-M7 cameras.
