On the dawn of the UK's long-awaited 'digital switchover', Ofcom's 'Digital Progress Report' points to an evolution (if not a revolution) in how viewers are consuming content.rnThis latest research reveals that UK viewers are taking greater control over the way they watch television, demonstrated by the total number of digital video recorders sold - recently hitting the nine million mark. The report shows that the number of digital recording devices which allow viewers the ability to pause, store and rewind live programmes had increased by nearly one million in the first quarter of this year.
