NAB Show 2012: numbers, and expectations, on the rise

This year's NAB Show in Las Vegas (16-19 April 2012) stood out for three reasons: business was buoyant, with a very positive atmosphere pervading all four halls; innovation reigned; and, from a media perspective, a lack of any 'real' news. There was no shortage of new technologies and solutions to enable the business of multi-platform broadcast to run more smoothly -and, critically, more profitably. If you were to attach 'tags' to the majority of what was on show this year, however - as compared to what we saw at the show's 2011 offering - you'd need an armful reading 'faster', 'better', and 'cheaper'.
