摘要

Currently, one of the most appealing scientific themes is the evaluation of extreme climatic events, since they pose a threat of major disruptions to the economy and to the physical and biological processes in an area. The Brazilian scientific community has evaluated analyses of anomalous events, such as failure of the expected precipitation, for a long time, attesting the importance and recurrence of these dramatic episodes in the country.
