Acceptance Address

Thank you, Sergei and Efthymios, for your warmest words. Thank you, Dr. Jami for your very kind address. I am indebted to the International Academy of History of Science for bestowing such a big honor. The Medal is a bit too heavy for me to hold, I am afraid. For someone who was sent to Inner Mongolia to work as a peasant-cowboy during the Cultural Revolution, Alexandre Koyre is a name far above the heavens. The works of the previous medal laureates are models for every historian of science, both in research and writing.
