PROCESS analyzers are still too often on the outside looking in. Even though they've added innovations, automation, new capabilities and ease-of-use in recent years, many types apparently continue to be viewed as outside-the-loop devices that can only contribute indirectly to process optimization or are too costly and inaccurate. These old prejudices are unfortunate because analyzers, sampling systems and similar solutions can greatly improve productivity and competitiveness of process applications, but these benefits are only gained if potential users recognize their value and invest in them.
