INSAT-4B power failure

A glitch in the power supply has hit India's domestic communications spacecraft INSAT-4B, thus partially affecting some of the telecom and television services in the country. According a press note from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), on the night of July 7, INSAT-4B started experiencing power supply problems due to power supply from one of its two solar panels getting disrupted. INSAT-B, built by ISRO was launched in Marchrn2007 by means of a Ariane vehicle from the Kourou spaceport in French Guyana.
