AirAsia X, Lufthansa Technik Philippines ink deal

AirAsia X, a low-cost long-haul airline, appointed Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) as its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services provider on February 3. Both parties signed an agreement in Singapore for LTP to provide MRO services for AirAsia X's fleet of eight Airbus aircraft which comprises A330s and A340s for three years beginning March 2010. The services will be provided at LTP's facility in Manila.
