China accounted for 64% of the fake goods that entered the 27-block European Union in 2009, according to a report from the European Commission. Although there was a 30% drop in the total number of counterfeit goods seized by border officials within the EU, the share of fakes originating from China grew by 10% between 2008 and 2009.
