British Library apologises over 'copyright infringement' image tweet

Following a flurry of unwanted media attention in March, the British Library retracted a Twitter posting that claimed taking photos in its Reading Room and then tweeting them amounted to copyright infringement. The social media battle ensued on Friday 21 March, after Financial Times columnist John Gapper uploaded a photo of the library's Humanities Reading Room in St Pancras, London.
