摘要

Young people seem stubbornly resistant to the idea of paying for music legally online. Reports from organisations like the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) has shown that a large percentage of people in the 15 to 24 year old age group still admit to intentionally downloading or streaming music illegally from the internet. This is against the backdrop of discussions in the House of Commons of whether criminal sanctions for online infringement should be brought from the current two years to 10 years, to match the physical offences.
