Quickly establishing a reputation of prestige, the region is also tipped as one of the next emerging markets, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar planning to join the MSCI Emerging Markets Index in May. A report by Mirae Asset Global Investments states that the addition of these countries to the index will increase the weight of the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) region and expand the diversity of investment options.
