摘要

A seller of office furniture and other products has filed a complaint in a Chicago federal court seeking a ruling that its folding desks do not infringe a competitor's design patent. In a complaint filed May 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illi-nois, retailer Ramot Hills LLC alleges Homy Casa Ltd. has been misusing the patent to wage false accusations against the plaintiff and online vendors that sell the plaintiff's products. The complaint says Homy Casa approached Amazon with infringement contentions just as the demand for collapsible office furniture was peaking because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
