PATENTEE WAS NOT ENTITLED TO COMPENSATORY DAMAGES FOR LOST FOREIGN SALES

The patentee was not entitled to compensatory damages for its lost foreign sales. The patentee alleged that the lost foreign sales were the foreseeable result of its competitor's domestic infringement of patents for alleviating electromagnetic interference and current flow problems in power supplies for electronic devices. However, the lost foreign sales were not rooted in the competitor's activity in the United States. See Power Integrations, Inc. v.
