While customer lists were historically relatively simple and straight-forward documents listing customer names and contacts, companies today often use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to compile, organize, and analyze large amounts of customer data-including: 1. Contact information; 2. Personal information; 3. Products; 4. Marketing materials; 5. Social media information; 6. Purchase history; 7. Buying preferences; and more.
