Quantitative structure activity relationships (QSARsJ are widely used in studies of organic compounds; now scientists have a resource to develop QSARs for metal ions. This book covers, in brief, everything from the basic physicals that govern metal ion activity, to QSAR fundamentals, to a quick guide to the development of QSAR statistical models. By reading this book, I received a healthy refresher on basic inorganic chemistry and became more familiar with how chemical structure can predict biological responses. Although a significant fraction of the book is not synthetic, it does bring together details in a very organized fashion so that the learned scientist can gain quick insight into past research of particular metal ion properties in relation to QSARs.
