A simple circuit of a crystal oscillator and its application to a high-resolution NMR spectrometer

A simple circuit of a crystal oscillator operating at frequencies from several megahertz to a hundred megahertz with a frequency stability of one part to 108 can be constructed by use of a dual insulated-gate metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET). This RF transmitter accompanied by an RF-tuned receiver can be used as a high-resolution NMR spectrometer and as a precise gaussmeter.
