This paper investigates some aspects and features of electrochemical noise measurement instrumentation. A comparison of the resolutions of different analog-to-digital converters demonstrates that converters possessing a resolution of at least 24 bits are preferable due to the significant voltage drift of electrochemical systems. Operational amplifiers having various input types are considered. It is shown that low-noise amplifiers with bipolar input stages are capable of working with low-impedance objects only, such as electrochemical power sources, and that FET input stage amplifiers must be applied when testing the modeling of electrochemical cells having an impedance greater than 50 Omega .
