In November, Dominic Rossi, former head of global equities at Threadneedle Asset Management, will become chief investment officer at London-based Gartmore -but he won't do much investing. Rossi, 44, earned his reputation by playing a lead role in building up Threadneedle's ￡962 million ($1.7 billion) Latin American fund. At Gartmore, he will oversee the company's investment division, which has ￡24 billion under management and more than 90 people in London, Tokyo and Boston.
