The recent decline in China A Shares is inspiring renewed global institutional interest in other real investments in the region, among which premium Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are particularly well-positioned for growth. Among Hong Kong REIT and A level China REITs, the market leader is recently rebranded Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link), based in Hong Kong. Link was the first real estate investment trust listed in Hong Kong. It is currently Asia's largest REIT, and is one of the world's largest retail-focused REITs in terms of market capitalization. With total revenue of HK$7.72 billion, up 7.9 percent during the last fiscal year ended March 31, 2015, Link now is strategically expanding its portfolio in Hong Kong and mainland China, according to George Hongchoy, the CEO of Link Asset Management Limited.
