The Aerospace Visit 1995: British Aerospace, Warton

May 23rd was the day for this year's Aerospace visit, hosted by Bob Davey and his colleagues at British Aerospace, Warton. The organisation on site was excellent and our hosts had prepared the programme of paper presentations for the morning session. We were welcomed by Mr Alan Mason, Head of Materials Engineering, who explained the importance of NDT within the BAe business. The Eurofighter 2000 (EF2000), for instance, has a laminated composite structure which presented a new challenge and called for improved NDT capabilities at reduced cost.
