The 47th Annual British Conference on NDT, 16-18 September 2008, Shrigley Hall, Nr Macclesfield, UK

The Annual Conference of The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing, NDT 2008, was held at the Shrigley Hall Hotel, Pott Shrigley, close to Macclesfield. Over 220 people registered for the conference and there was a good number of delegates in attendance throughout the conference on each day. It was a pleasure to once again welcome delegates that had travelled from all over the world to take part in the meeting. The conference hotel had very good facilities, and many of the delegates took advantage of the fitness suite and the golf course. The session rooms, in which the presentations were given, were all comfortable and well-equipped. Whilst the exhibition was a little way from the session rooms, this did not cause a problem and exhibitors were extremely busy throughout the week. The service during the conference from the hotel conference staff was excellent.
