摘要

During the NDT 2017 Conference and Materials Testing Exhibition in September, I was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Caroline Bull, BINDT President, at the Annual Conference Dinner. I was then handed the microphone so that I could give a ten-minute speech. At the time, I really could not find the words to say how honoured, proud and grateful I fe yes, I was stuck for those words and had a few tears instead! I also heard somebody (a man) say quite loudly that he had never seen me in this predicament before, ever. He was right!
