Peraton looks to fully integrate Northrop IT, Perspecta by early July

After adding two major acquisitions, Peraton is now looking to early July as a key timeframe in the integration of the three companies. In an interview with Inside Defense this week, Stu Shea, Peraton's chief executive, said the company is seeking to have around July 1 the "85% solution" for consolidating areas like business tools and bringing together the pipeline of bids, among other areas. Peraton last week closed on its acquisition of Perspecta; in February, the company added Northrop Grumman's IT services business. It will take another six to eight months "beyond that to get to the point that we're truly one integrated company," Shea said. By the end of 2021, he said, Peraton aims to have most of the systems, processes, people and bids fully integrated. Shea told Inside Defense he has sought to truly blend the three companies, representing executives from all three businesses on the leadership team. The company has laid out five sectors: space and intelligence, cyber mission, defense solutions, citizen security and public services, and global health and financial solutions. It will also have Peraton Labs, SRI, a Navy and Marine Corps business group and a systems engineering sector.
