A group representing a range of U.S. companies and industry associations opposes a variety of measures in the House and Senate defense authorization bills, including several provisions that would demand domestic sourcing for U.S. weapons programs and force companies to cut ties with Chinese suppliers. The Acquisition Reform Working Group outlined its concerns with the fiscal year 2021 defense authorization bill in a letter sent to the House and Senate armed services committees. The group includes the National Defense Industrial Association, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the American Council of Engineering Companies, Associated General Contractors of America, Computing Technology Industry Association, and the Information Technology Industry Council.
