The Pentagon's first attempt to audit a military department's statement of budgetary resources will not be completed as planned, forcing defense officials to determine whether they want to issue a late audit opinion or turn their attention to next year's edition.rnThe audit of the Marine Corps' fiscal year 2010 statement of budgetary resources was supposed to be completed Nov. 15, but the auditors will have to issue a disclaimer, Defense Department Deputy Chief Financial Officer Mark Easton told Inside the Pentagon in a Oct. 19 interview.
