A reorganization of the Defense Intelligence Agency over the summer led to the disestablishment of the Defense Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Center, created in 2008 to replace a controversial office accused of targeting domestic anti-war groups.The closure of the Defense Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Center (DCHC) prompted the revision of several internal directives because the office had been given a lead role in interrogations of high-value detainees, "tactical questioning" and the Defense Department's "Polygraph and Credibility Assessment Program," newly published Pentagon policy documents show.
