Army Review Could Hasten Decisions On Reserves' Role In DOD Cyber Forces

A new high-level Army review could help shape the future role accorded to the reserves, both in traditional and cyberspace missions, as defense leaders attempt to reshape America's national-security capabilities with cost in mind. Commissioned by Army Secretary John McHugh and Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond Odierno in an Aug. 14 memo, the Army savings drill includes the instruction for service officials to "look broadly across the force" and include in their examination alignments between the active and reserve components.
