The Defense Department is setting aside nearly $40 billion in its long-term spending blueprint to support a 12-year extension of the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program, including 60 additional launches from fiscal years 2018 to 2028, according to a Pentagon report explaining cost growth in the Air Force program.
