DOD Acquisition Chief To Release Better Buying Power 3.0 This Week

Frank Kendall, the Pentagon's chief acquisition executive, is slated to release Friday the third version of a key acquisition improvement initiative with an increased emphasis on long-range research and development investments. Kendall, who is set to unveil Better Buying Power 3.0 at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, has said the initiative will be aligned with a broader effort being crafted by Deputy Defense Secretary Bob Work to better manage the Pentagon's long-term R&D investments.
