Additional DOD Cyber Policy In Works, Guidebook Coming Soon

A new cyber-focused section that will be added to Pentagon's guidance for buying weapons will focus on tying together cybersecurity and cyber reliance, according to a senior Defense Department acquisition policy analyst. Members of DOD's acquisition office and research and development office will work with the military services over the next several months to create policy for the design and management of cybersecurity in the acquisition system, DOD policy analyst Mark Godino said in a March 17 industry event speech.
