Venture Global seeks FERC approval of another US LNG export terminal

Venture Global LNG filed its formal application at the Federal EnergyRegulatory Commission for another major liquefied natural gas exportproject in Louisiana that would be capable of producing more than 20million tonnes of LNG per year.The Dec. 2 application to build the proposed CP2 LNG project andassociated CP Express natural gas pipeline was the latest bullish bet bythe developer on US LNG prospects. Venture Global entered the reviewprocess at FERC earlier in 2021 for the project, which would beconstructed adjacent to the company’s 10-Mt/y Calcasieu Pass LNGexport terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, that is undergoingcommissioning work.
