Criticized for stranding landowners in “administrative limbo,” the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is taking steps to allow them to challenge commission decisions on natural gas projects in court more quickly. FERC Chairman Neil Chatterjee said Thursday he had directed FERC staff to prioritize acting on rehearing orders within 30 days on the “narrow set of rehearing requests involving landowner rights.”
