Abitibibowater Ranked At Top Of Climate Disclosure Index

AbitibiBowater, Montreal, Que., Canada, has been ranked the leading forest products company in Canada in the 2008 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index, with respect to disclosure of carbon emissions. AbitibiBowater is included in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) report, which lists top companies demonstrating best-in-class disclosure practices in climate change strategy as well as reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. In the CDP's sixth annual report, AbitibiBowater came in fourth overall among Canadian high-carbon impact sector companies. The CDPrnrepresents 385 institutional investors, with a combined asset base of $57 trillion.
