STRUCTURAL MODELS OF M-O-Cs AND M-O-Ba EMISSION SYSTEMS

Structural models of M-O-Cs and M-O-Ba emission systems are proposed. The models take into account the substrate structure, the configuration of O-Cs and O-Ba surface species, and the nature of the atomic orbitals involved and explain in a consistent manner the effect of oxygen on the thermionic emission properties of the systems considered.
