Health Ingredients Japan was launched in 1998 as the core component of the International Food Design Show that has been held annually in Tokyo since 1989. As one of the most important leading food ingredients exhibitions in Asia by far, the show has seen increases year by year. At Hi Japan 2008, over 580 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions met with almost 42,000 buyers from the industry. The fair for 2009 is slated to have 600 exhibitors with 1000 booths at Tokyo's Big Sight East Hall 4, 5, and 6, will be sure for meeting demands from every visitor and offer them business opportunities in the health ingredients market in Japan. As an exhibition called "S-tec Japan" to be held simultaneously alongside Hi Japan 2009, the exhibition S-tec Japan will offer important opportunities in the field of food safety and quality control in Japan. These parallel events provide exclusive source of information on food safety and technology.
