The Bey°ncl Burger is the world's first plant-based burger that looks, cooks ,ancl tastes lite a fresh beef burger, and is making its way into the refrigerated meat section of a grocery store near you. It has all the juicy, meat deliciousness of a traditional burger, but comes with the upsides of a plant-based meal. How is the burger made? We start with simple 100% plant-based, non-CMO ingredients. The result is a 1/4 patty that packs 20 grams of protein and has no soy, no gluten, GMOs, cholesterol, and half the saturated fat of an 80/20 beef burger. To make The Beyond Burger, we use a lot of the same type of equipment and steps used for traditional burgers. But rather than breaking down meat into smaller parts, we're building it up using the same core building blocks-amino acids, lipids, water, carbohydrates, and trace minerals - that comprise meat.Our process for creating plant-based meat is inherently more efficient than the outdated model of using a cow to convert plants into meat, it requires significantly less land, water, and energy and avoids the enormous waste streams and climate impact of animal protein.
