Dairy UK has announced the appointmentof Sam Fortescue to the position ofCommunications Director.Mr Fortescue was the Fresh Foods Editor to The Grocer. He previously worked as the Business Reporter to Farmers Weekly, where he was awarded the Reed Business Information (RBI) Editorial Newcomer of the Year in 2005 and RBI Features Writer of the Year in 2006.Jim Begg, Director General of Dairy UK said: "With the amount of positive initiatives happening within the dairy industry we felt the time was right to enhance our current resources with a dedicated Communications Director."Sam has a great deal of experience with the dairy industry and he was the clear choice to fill this role.
