Near-Time has now integrated social networking into its enterprise service on the Near-Time platform. Reid Conrad, CEO, says the Enterprise 2.0 collaboration is working well and the most recent enhancements are making it even better. "We've taken the traditional social networking tools [and] added in groups, people, and content for an integrated approach," he says. This update reflects Near-Time's continued growth through customer interest. "It's become more viral," he says. "We're seeing new features and applications on a geographic scale." The new "space-level dashboard offers access to wikis, blogs, and forums for an aggregated view of tools," he says. For example, simply mouse over the name of a blogger for a list of his or her recent posts and focus on his or her specific contributions. Users can also connect with other users who share similar interests. Enhancements to the integrated platform include faster edit changes and easier ways to add page and news summaries. Tags were also incorporated so users could add context and relevant documents. Users can also integrate with widgets and other web services to create user-generated solutions quickly.
