摘要

The world's largest biodiversity genomics initiative was activated on Sept. 25 in To-ronto. In a ceremony where the CN Tower was lit from top to bottom with the DNArnbar code of the Canadian beaver, Glen Murray, minister of research and innovation, launched the International Barcode of Life (iBOL) project. The aim of the initiative is to build a digital identification system for all life on Earth.
