Spring Design is shipping the dual-screen Alex eReader, an ebook platform that supports ebooks as well as PDF files, HTML, Wi-Fi connectivity with support for web browsing and email, and other multimedia applications. The device, which weighs 11 oz., is based on Google's Android platform. Spring also plans to announce multilanguage versions of Alex, including Chinese, Russian, Korean, and Hebrew.
