According to traditional etiquette, pearls are the appropriate gift for a 30th wedding anniversary. So in 2010, as Information Today, Inc. celebrates its 30th year in the information industry, my column will look at ITIrnhistory, seeing what grains of sand have turned into pearls in the company's oyster shell during the past 3 decades. I'll also include some then-and-now comparisons, checking in with people (in the industry and in ITI) who were here whenrnit all started and who are still here years later. But for this kickoff column, "Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start."
